Sally Mazak (AKA SalMaz)
All SalMaz illustration is quirky, colourful and character driven, with a graphic designer’s commercial sensibility. She explores worlds/words and tries to capture personalities, attitudes and clichés in her artwork.

Curriculum Vitae
SalMaz studied Illustration/Graphic Design at University and illustrated/wrote greeting cards for The Ink Group (now with John Sands) for nearly 6 years.
In 2005 she wrote, illustrated and self-published her first children's picture book called ‘What colours am I?’ about a chicken called Betty who changes colour every day. Sal’s current project is a new rhyming kid’s book about a fairy called Mary who becomes hairy.
Sal was also recently selected as one of 6 artists to illustrate 6 poems for The Toilet Door Project, a National project exhibiting in all Qantas Terminals and Greater union/Village Cinemas.
Sal works as a graphic designer and runs workshops based on the book 'The Artist's Way'. She is Australia's only official facilitator for this process. |
